I like to keep track of what is going on in the local area so I'm usually
listening to a scanner some where. If it's not the local law
enforcement it will be racing taking place at our local Las Vegas Motor
Speedway. Either way it's nice to know what is going on around you. The two handheld scanners I use are the Radio Shack Pro-95 Dual Trunking scanner and the Uniden SportCat 200 (SC-200). I find these to be the most useful in my area.
